Steiner's two girls Diva and Justus will not leave his side for anything. Even after a major operation he's so good with them. He really does have an excellent temperament! There isn't a mean bone in his Rottweiler body. Bless his little heart. Love you tons my Huey Dewey dog. :)

He made it through the surgery and is doing well! We pick him at seven tonight to bring him home. I love you so very much God! You're always there for me and my animals when we need you the most, and for that I will always and forever worship you! And to my dear friends, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your prayers, thoughts, and positive energy for my boy! It means so much to me and Steiner. God Bless each and everyone of you!

Please help us in our time of need,

You have made us stewards of Steiner.

If it is Your will, please restore him

to health and strength.

I pray too for other animals in need.

May they be treated with the care and respect

deserving of all Your creation.

Blessed are You Lord God,

and Holy is Your name for ever and ever. Amen!

Steiner's operation was postponed

Posted by Vectra Pugs on January 22, 2016 at 11:20 AM

Till 1:00pm today. My Vet wanted to do blood tests on him before surgery to evaluate his kidney and liver function, and to make sure he wasn't anemic and that he would be strong enough to make it through the operation. Thank God everything was excellent! As I write this, my Vet and the Specialist are operating on his leg. My poor boy. I can't wait till this is all over and done with for him. I'm a nervous wreck right now, I can't stop thinking about him. Please everyone can you Pray that he makes it through the operation with no issues and no complications afterward. There is strength in Prayer and the number of people that Pray for him. Thank you again everyone!

Yahoo!!! The Radiology Specialist

Posted by Vectra Pugs on January 20, 2016 at 7:25 PM

Looked at Steiner's x-ray today and saw absolutely no cancer anywhere! So that means tomorrow my handsome boy goes into the vet to have his left leg with the cancer amputated. I'm so frickin' happy that other vet was wrong, but I'm also a bit mad at him because I was ready to euthanize my dog over his totally wrong diagnosis! I have to wonder how many people euthanized their pets because he said they had something they didn't? Makes me ill to my stomach to think about it.

Thank you God for answering my prayers about Steiner. Without you in my life taking care my animals and I I don't know what I would do. You give me the strength to handle anything life throws at me, and for that I am forever thankful to you. You're the reason I'm as strong as I am, and for that I owe you everything.

I woke up this morning with

Posted by Vectra Pugs on January 19, 2016 at 10:20 AM

The over whelming sensation that I should get a second opinion on Steiner's lungs, so that's what I did! The Vet that examined my boy last night wasn't my regular Vet, and his whole diagnosis of seeing cancer in Steiner's lungs just didn't sit right with me in my gut, so I phoned my regular Vet first thing this morning and asked him to give me his opinion on his lung x-ray and tell me if it was actually cancer the other  Vet saw or not.

Well, I have to say, good thing my awesome Vet did look at the x-ray, because he said he can't see any cancer any place in Steiner's lungs! Anyways, to make a long story short, my Vet is sending the x-ray to a Radiology Specialist to see if he can see any cancer. If the Specialist can't see any, my Vet wants to amputate Steiner's leg, because he says that means the cancer hasn't spread, and if the leg is amputated, it won't be able to spread to any place else in his body. He also believes doing the amputation Steiner could live another year to two years or longer! I'm so game for that! I'll do whatever I have to do for my boy if it means he gets to live a longer happier life! And if it turns out he does have cancer in his lungs, I won't let him suffer and he will be euthanized as planned.

All day I've been thinking and feeling like crap! I was almost going to euthanize my boy on Wednesday because I thought there was nothing else that could be done for him. All I have to say is, always go with your gut feeling! If I wouldn't have Steiner would no longer be with us on Wednesday for something that is a totally wrong diagnosis! Thank you God for answering my prayers again. You never fail me. I love you more than words could ever say.

I had to make the worst decision of

My life tonight to euthanize my boy Steiner this coming Wednesday (January 20th). My poor baby has osteosarcoma cancer in his front leg that has metastasized to his lungs. He has a tumor on his wrist that is filled with fluid which is deteriorating away his bones along with the cancer. I want to spend as much time with him before I let him go to the Rainbow Bridge to be with the rest of my fur babies! My heart is dying inside, he's the last of my own breeding, after him I have nothing from that line to remember any of my dogs by and I'm so heartbroken. I HATE FUCKING CANCER!!!

Jersey forty three days pregnant

Posted by Vectra Pugs on June 12, 2015 at 1:00 AM

Poor girl, when she she lies on her back she reminds me of a turtle lying upside-down on it's shell because she can't get up as fast, and has to wiggle and turn her body a few times before she finally does get back up on her feet... lol... I just love her! appointment has been booked on the 24th of this month for an x-ray to finally see how many little babies are in there.. I'm so excited and can't wait! WooHoo!!

I just love her to bits! I laughed today when my friend said to me "you can see she's got A LOT of little buns cooking in her oven, I would say about seven!"

Without you there would be no "team Halo".

Some exciting news!

BIS/BPISS Can Ch Caillets Light Of Your Halo "Halo" went to the vet today and got her hip and patella health testing done.. I'm happy to say her patellas passed with flying colors (both normal), and my vet said her hips look good too, but OFA is the one that has the final say on that one. ;)
Halo's digital x-rays where emailed to OFA today, and now comes the waiting game to see what rating they give my Beauty. Next month she goes to the vet again to get her eyes certified, and then she will be fully pug health tested so she can get a CHIC number!

I like the fact that they did her hip x-rays with no sedation at all, which is totally awesome! I guess she was really good for them when they were doing the positioning and she didn't move an inch.. She's so amazing!

Another amazing weekend of wins!

Posted by Vectra Pugs on May 26, 2014 at 1:55 PM

BIS/BPISS Can Ch Caillets Light Of Your Halo "Halo" and her awesome handler Michelle won two group three's and a group four at the Vancouver Island Dog Fanciers show this weekend (May 23, 24, 25).. Three days of showing and three group placements! Love it!! In the last seven shows Halo's placed in the group everytime!! This girl never fails to impress me when it comes to dog shows.. WTG my Beauty!! Halo also now has fifteen points towards her grand championship title, and only needs five more to add it to the front of her name .. We're also going to work on getting her grand championship excellence! I wanna put as many titles as I can on the front and back of her name.

To say I'm totally proud of my Beauty would be an understatement! I can't wait to see what she gives me in the whelping box! I can only pray she proudces another baby girl as good, or if not better than herself. ;)

Also, Halo will be going to the vet on Thursday May 29 for her hip and patella testing, then they will be sent off to OFA so she can get a CHIC number.

A HUGE thank you to the judges who recognized Halo's qualities. Without you none of this would have been possible.

Make sure you watch for team Halo at a show near you in 2014! :P

Team Halo does it again!

BIS/BPISS Can Ch Caillets Light Of Your Halo "Halo" won Best Of Breed three days (beating seven specials) this weekend at the Renaissance Dog Show, and earned ten points (she needs twenty) towards her Grand Championship title! I should have gotten three BOB win photos, but I didn't and only got the one picture of her win today. Dang, I should have been more on the ball I tell ya! Oh well, at least I will always have the breed win ribbons.. In two weeks Michelle and Halo are off to the Burns Lake Show. Can't wait to see how they do there. Two weekends ago they kicked butt and won Best In Show, and this weekend they kicked butt again!

Thanks again you two for another awesome weekend! Just think, the years not even half over yet!
